Absolute protagonist of the 2024 season, Jonathan Milan adds another "jersey" to his collection, the white jersey of Oscar tuttoBICI as the best young rider of the season. In the ranking of the Gran Premio ACM Asfalti, wanted by former professional Nicola Miceli, the Friulian from Lidl Trek clearly preceded the emerging talents duo from Bahrain Victorious composed of Antonio Tiberi and Edoardo Zambanini.
His season was the perfect season, both on the road - where he collected 11 victories - and on the track, where he won the Olympic bronze with the quartet and the world record, with the rainbow jersey, in the individual pursuit.
"In Lidl Trek I found the ideal team, which supported me in every way. Eleven road victories are many, but I am convinced that this is just the beginning. I know I still have to improve a lot, it's clear that I have to fine-tune the synchronisms with my train, but I would give my season an 8. Seven victories in WorldTour races, plus third place at the Tour of Germany and the inaugural one at the Valenciana, with the cyclamen jersey at the Giro d'Italia: I would say I can be satisfied."
Also because you are young, as the White Jersey Oscar that you will receive in Milan in a few days attests...
"It's true, I turned 24 last October 1st and there is still a lot of road ahead... I am very pleased to have won the Oscar tuttoBICI, an award that I had never won in my career so far and which instead my friend Filippo Ganna has won in this category for two consecutive years. Who knows if I won't be able to do the same, given that next year I will still be competing for the White Jersey Oscar put up for grabs by ACM Asfalti".
