Sul traguardo di Masterton, infatti, è giunto in perfetta solitudine Luke Mudgway, portacolori della Black Spoke Pro Cycling Academy, che ha conquistatoil successo parziale e indossato la maglia di leader della classifica generale. Sul podio di giornata, staccati di 17 secondi, sono giunti Strong e Gate.
