In 2026 as well, the 3rd Caffè Borbone GP adds a quality appointment to the national competitive calendar for Junior cycling (17-18 years old) in Italy thanks to the collaboration between Caffè Borbone and Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone, a Continental team that from 2026 sees the inclusion of the market-leading company in Italy in the single-serve coffee capsule and pod sector in its name, strengthening a partnership now in its third year.
Following the successes of the first two editions, appreciated by teams, athletes and industry professionals, the Caffè Borbone Grand Prix is shaping up to be even more well-attended, with 30 teams having already submitted participation requests and the number of registered athletes reaching the maximum limit allowed by regulations.
The 3rd Caffè Borbone GP will take place on Saturday, August 22 between Errano di Faenza and Brisighella, on a course already established and of high technical interest, with technical organization by Pol. Zannoni of Errano and Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone, supported by Caffè Borbone, project partner since 2024.
The event was presented on Tuesday, June 30 in the foyer of the Pedrini Theater in Brisighella, with the participation of local institutions and project promoters: among others, the Mayor of Brisighella Massimiliano Pederzoli, the Councilor for Culture and Tourism of Brisighella Karen Chiarini, and Councilor Dario Laghi, the Sports Councilor of the Municipality of Faenza Martina Laghi, Regional Councilor Niccolò Bosi, the project creator Davide Cassani, the president of Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone Gianni Carapia, the president of Pol. Zannoni Stefano Chiozzini, the External Relations Manager of Italmobiliare (representing Caffè Borbone) Stefania Danzi, the president of FCI Ravenna Carlo Vassura, race directors Nicola Dalmonte and Raffaele Babini, organizer Marco Selleri, Junior team president Andrea Silvagni, team sports directors Francesco Chicchi, Michele Coppolillo and Mauro Calzoni, and the entities involved in the organization, not forgetting the importance of collaboration with law enforcement and in particular with the Local Police.
In 2026, the collaboration between Caffè Borbone and Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone is further consolidated with the company's entry into the team's naming, testifying to a shared vision and an increasingly strong bond: supporting the potential of new generations, promoting sport as a tool for talent development and building an authentic relationship with the territory.
Caffè Borbone is today an integral part of the Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone project, alongside the team throughout the Elite and Under 23 cycling season with its logo on jerseys and vehicles, and also present in initiatives such as the Suzuki Bike Day and the Cassanata. With the Caffè Borbone Grand Prix, the company further strengthens its commitment to new generations by creating a true supply chain that supports cycling from the youth level to the threshold of professionalism.
Already in the name of Caffè Borbone is explicit the attachment to the territory of origin, and in cycling as well this attention is sustained by confirming the route of the Caffè Borbone GP which will also touch in 2026 the areas affected by the 2023 flood and made famous by the passage of the 2024 Tour de France.
From a technical and sporting perspective as well, it will be a significant appointment. The roll of honor of the event already boasts names of highly talented riders: in 2024 it was won by the talented Romagnolo Enea Sambinello, now in the development formation of the UAE Team Emirates, the team of Tadej Pogačar. In 2025, Patrik Pezzo Rosola prevailed, a young talented rider with extraordinary pedigree: son of Paola Pezzo, two-time Olympic champion in mountain biking, and Paolo Rosola, former professional road cyclist and winner of stages at the Giro d'Italia. A roll of honor that is already a guarantee of quality and appeal for the best Italian Juniors.
"Our commitment to young people stems from the desire to be present in the moments when their talent takes shape. It is from this vision that our commitment alongside Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone is born: a project that allows us to accompany athletes in a path of concrete growth, inside and outside of sport. We believe in authentic sport, capable of activating communities and enhancing the territories where talent is born and develops, offering real opportunities to new generations. This is how we interpret our role: to bring even into sport the deepest meaning of 'home coffee', creating closeness, participation and opportunities for shared growth," declared Marco Schiavon, Chief Executive Officer of Caffè Borbone.
"This race is born from a simple conviction: it is a commitment to the community, because investing in young people means investing in the future," declared Davide Cassani, creator of the Team. "Not all the boys who will line up at the start will become professionals, but each of them will carry the values of sport with them for life. Then there are those who make the leap, as we have seen here with Sambinello, but also in our team with riders like Tarozzi and Crescioli, now engaged in professionalism. We are grateful to Caffè Borbone for believing in our project and also for choosing in 2026 to be part of it even more, entering the naming of our team".
"Brisighella believes strongly in sport and culture as tools for enhancing the territory and we welcome this race with enthusiasm, which fills us with pride for the presence of Caffè Borbone and which, at its third edition, has now become an eagerly awaited appointment," said the Mayor of Brisighella, Massimiliano Pederzoli, confirming what was also anticipated by the Councilor for Culture and Tourism, Karen Chiarini. "Our village is a place that lives on hospitality, landscape, and culture, and cycling sport helps us tell it to the world in an authentic way. When cycling races pass through our streets, it is a promotion that is priceless: the bike speaks to everyone, and we are happy to be at the center of this story again".
"We are always happy to host the activities of local societies like Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone, which cover an important space in the city in the sports field," added the Sports Councilor of the Municipality of Faenza, Martina Laghi, "and also being the starting point of the Caffè Borbone GP right from Errano will make this event dedicated to the talents approaching international cycling special, and we will participate with pleasure".
"For several years the Region has supported initiatives and encouraged the holding of major sporting events for various reasons," said Niccolò Bosi, regional councilor of the Emilia-Romagna Region, "and in this context fits the project that led to the development of an Emilia-Romagna team in U23 cycling. Sport is one of the most effective ways to enhance a territory and tell its excellences. It is equally important to create opportunities for young people to practice it and grow through its values. It is nice to think that the boys who will be at the start of the Caffè Borbone GP will race on the same roads that just two years ago hosted the Tour de France: an opportunity that makes this event even more special. I also want to emphasize the value of collaboration between an important business reality like Caffè Borbone and sports societies like Polisportiva Zannoni and Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna, capable of combining tradition and innovation and earning an increasingly significant role in the panorama of Italian cycling".
"Reaching the third edition of the Caffè Borbone GP is an enormous satisfaction for us," emphasized Gianni Carapia, president of Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone. "We have built something solid together with Caffè Borbone, a company that has known how to interpret the partnership with us not as simple sponsorship but as authentic sharing of values. We are born to unite sport, young people and territory, so a Junior race in our area is perfect. In 2026 this bond has been further strengthened and I believe it is a concrete signal of mutual trust, which pushes us to always give our best to honor it and to build something lasting together".
"Every year this race grows, and with it grow participation, level and enthusiasm, also among the young cyclists (and families) of the Polisportiva which this year celebrates eighty years," added Stefano Chiozzini, president of Pol. Zannoni of Errano di Faenza. "All this would not be possible without the precious work of our volunteers and local associations, who every year put themselves at the service with passion and dedication. Putting our energy at the service of young people is at the same time a responsibility and a privilege. We share with Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone and with Caffè Borbone the conviction that believing in young people is the best way to build a better future for everyone".
The Race - The start is scheduled for 2:00 PM from Errano di Faenza, home of the Polisportiva Corrado Zannoni, while the finish will once again be in the historic center of Brisighella, in Piazza Marconi, the heart of one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
The 125 km route follows that of previous editions. The start is suggestive and demanding with eight laps of the Coralli Alti circuit, before tackling the three Mountain Prizes in the last 25 km: two passages over Rio Chié, a climb of Monticino (KOM at 18 km from the finish), a climb also tackled by the 2024 Tour de France, and the grand finale in the center of Brisighella.
The 3rd Caffè Borbone GP is promoted by Caffè Borbone, in collaboration with Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone and Polisportiva Corrado Zannoni, with the patronage and involvement of the Municipality of Brisighella, Union of Romagna Faentina, Italian Cycling Federation and partners Terra di Brisighella, BCC Ravennate Forlivese and Imolese, Assmont and Ghetti Ravenna.
