The UCI WorldTour XDS Astana Team and the UCI ProTeam Laboral Kutxa-Euskadi Women's Team have signed a technical and sporting cooperation agreement for the 2026 season with the intention of building a long-term strategic alliance between the two structures.
Iñaki Isasi, president of the Euskadi Foundation, emphasizes the importance of this union: "From the Euskadi Foundation, we want to thank XDS Astana Team for this collaboration; an alliance that will help us continue to realize dreams with a vision and projection towards the future. All this while maintaining our character to achieve great goals in the cycling elite, without ever losing our essence as a project linked to the Country and the territory".
For his part, Aitor Galdos, General Manager of Laboral Kutxa Euskadi, highlights: "This agreement is very important for our structure. It will allow us to continue growing in an increasingly professionalized and demanding cycling. We will seek to bring our experience in women's cycling, contributing our values and our way of working, especially in the training and growth of new cyclists".
XDS, sponsor of both teams, will have a key role in this cooperation through technical support, focused on the development, testing, and improvement of bicycles, components, and equipment. Laboral Kutxa Euskadi will race this season with X-LAB XDS bicycles, thus strengthening the technical dimension of the alliance.
The agreement also contemplates a strategic aspect for the development of women's cycling in Kazakhstan. Kutxa Euskadi Laboral will contribute to creating opportunities for talented Kazakh cyclists, facilitating training stays within their structure, allowing them to compete in international professional tests and acquire experience at the highest level.
