After yesterday's time trial events, the African continental championships continue in Kenya. Today, the Mauritius National Team won the 28-kilometer mixed relay thanks to the six-member team composed of Aurelie Halbwachs, Lucie Lagesse, Raphaëlle Lamusse, Alexandre Mayer, Aurelien de Comarmond and Jeremy Raboude, who recorded a time of 35 minutes and 24 seconds. Rwanda took second place on the podium, finishing the race with just a few hundredths of a second difference, while the athletes from the Algerian National Team recorded a time of 36 minutes and 17 seconds, which earned them the bronze medal.
In the women's Junior road race over 64 kilometers, the 18-year-old Ethiopian Kahsay Tsige Kiros, already winner in yesterday's time trial, prevailed over Yvonne Masengesho from Rwanda, while another Ethiopian, Kssanet Gebreslasse, took the third step of the podium.
