Sebastiano Tavelli is the new Lombard champion in the U23 category. The rider from Botticino Sera, class of 2007, racing for Rime Cicli Drali, claimed the title at Marmirolo (Mantua) where the 6th Giro dei Prati Stabili took place.

Tavelli imposed himself in the sprint, overtaking his breakaway companion Marco Pezzani (Trentino Cycling Team), while Kristian Blanc (Ciclistica Rostese) closed in third place at 39 seconds. The chasers were further back: Alessio Frius in fourth position at 2'07", followed by Tommaso Francescangeli, Carlo Francesco Favretto and the rest of the group
