On Saturday, September 19, the Gran Premio del Lazio will mark the return of professional cycling to the roads of the Lazio region. The organization, signed by Terenzi Sport Eventi and promoted by Maria Spena, councilor for Sport e Salute, and Giorgio Simeoni, councilor of the Lazio Region, with the contribution of the Italian Cycling Federation and the Professional Cycling League, marks the beginning of a new era in the tradition of the past. A new UCI 1.1 category race, included in the prestigious Coppa Italia delle Regioni, which brings back to life what was the history of the Giro del Lazio won by Bartali, Magni, Gimondi, Moser, De Vlaeminck, Bugno, Fondriest, Bettini, Pozzato and other champions.

The over 180 kilometers from Ciociaria to Lake Bracciano, from Fiuggi and Ferentino to Anguillara Sabazia, will call upon the sprinters and test their endurance and power, fitting into an intense week on the roads of Central-Southern Italy, between the Trofeo Matteotti and Giro d'Abruzzo before and Giro di Campania after. Over twenty teams will participate, of which at least three World Tour (the prestigious Ineos Netcompany, Jayco AlUla of the historic team manager "adopted Italian" Brent Copeland and an XDS Astana always rich in Italian riders) and devo teams such as Movistar Academy and Bahrain Development. All Italian ProTeams will be present (Polti VisitMalta, Bardiani Csf 7 Saber, Solution Tech Nippo Rali) as well as the Italian-Hungarian MBH Bank Csb Telecom Fort, as many Spanish teams (Burgos Burpellet, Caja Rural, Kern Pharma) and the French TotalEnergies. Down to the Continental Italian teams, from Biesse Carrera to Padovani, from Mg K Vis Costruzioni e Ambiente to Swatt Club.
