As August continues to heat up, the cycling transfer market is no exception. The latest announcement concerns Martina Fidanza who will leave Team Visma Lease a Bike starting next season to wear the colors of the French team St Michel Preference Home Auber 93 for two years.

Born in 1999, Martina Fidanza has spent the last two seasons with Team Visma Lease a Bike, which has brought her great satisfaction, most recently with her victory at the Cadel's Criterium last January. Her road racing activity is always at the highest level, complemented by her beloved track cycling with the national team. «I am truly happy to join the team and start this new chapter; for me it's a fantastic opportunity. My main goal is to build strong synergy with the team, learn alongside my teammates and contribute to the team's success to the best of my ability» said Martina, who will race with the French team in the 2027 and 2028 seasons.

Martina Fidanza's signing fits into the team's expansion strategy, which just about ten days ago welcomed another Italian, Treviso-born Gaia Segato coming from Team Vini Fantini BePink. «I am very pleased to welcome Martina Fidanza for the next two seasons: despite her young age, she has already achieved great victories on the road and has an impressive track record where she is a key athlete for the Italian national team. She will have the opportunity to demonstrate her strength in our colors and I look forward to starting this collaboration» commented team manager Stephan Gaudry, highlighting the Bergamo rider's commitment to both road and track cycling.

Before joining the St. Michel team, Martina has the second part of the season to tackle, which should open with the Tour of Britain scheduled for August 19.
