After the Tour Femmes, there's a new grand tour to follow: it's the Jova Giro that is conquering southern Italy. Starting last Sunday from the Circo Massimo in Rome after the first Jova Beach Party in Olbia, in three stages it has reached Montesilvano where tomorrow the second beach festival organized by Lorenzo Cherubini, known as Jovanotti, will take place. The finish line of this cycling adventure will be back in the Capital on September 12th, after performances scheduled in Barletta, Catanzaro, Palermo, Naples and Rome itself.

Never before has an artist moved from one concert to another by bike. To accomplish this feat—made even more epic by the extreme heat of the season—Jovanotti has assembled a team that includes cycling champions of the caliber of Paolo Bettini and Daniele Bennati, along with former pro, physiotherapist and osteopath for the National team Fred Morini, who pedals alongside him while caring for his muscles and recovery.

The singer himself revealed his "domestiques," and tomorrow he will perform on the stage where four years ago he helped organize Giulio Ciccone's marriage proposal to his current wife Annabruna. Yesterday he wrote on social media: «In the photo taken at the center of L'ombelico d'Italia, the monument in Rieti's square considered the geographical center of our beloved peninsula, I'm together with the team of this crazy #jovagiro. These friends will do it all together with me pedaling from one @jovasummerparty to another. We are bound by friendship and passion for cycling (and only those who truly "feel it" know what power it has and how many emotions arise from many kilometers on the pedals)».

Besides the already mentioned former professionals, always at his side is his companion on many adventures Augusto Baldoni, who in his Bike Shop brings to life the Gusoline Bike, custom-made adventure bikes; chef Maria Vittoria Griffoni, who cooks to provide the right energy to the group and replenish the captain's strength in particular; theater actress Marianella Bargilli, partner of Paolo Bettini and sister of Alberta, romantically linked to Saturnino Celani, the historic bassist of the Jova Band.

In one month Jovanotti will cover approximately 2000 km in the saddle, then on his "rest" days from cycling he'll jump on stage as only he knows how to do. His legs seem more than good—after two stages up and down the Apennines with a climb up the Gran Sasso, today he covered 85 km with 500 meters of elevation gain at 35 km/h. Beyond recounting enchanting places encountered along the route, such as Villa Adriana in Tivoli and the rebirth of the Teatro San Filippo in L'Aquila, Jovanotti is leveraging his popularity to spread a daily message of respect for cyclists for peaceful coexistence on the roads among all users.
