The history of the race that began in 1911 with its first edition in the year of the A.C. Marcianese's founding and its tradition intertwine through memories and anecdotes across the 84 editions of this classic that have always featured athletes who subsequently became brilliant and admired protagonists among the professionals. The Giro delle Due Province, sponsored by the municipal administration, calls together once again tomorrow Saturday many of the best elite and under-23 representatives thanks to the commitment of its organizers from company president Sergio Casarosa to organizational director Massimiliano Anichini. Many teams arrive from outside Tuscany, among which we mention the Biesse Carrera Premac, dominant in 2025 with Trentino rider Federico Iacomoni and Versilia native Tommaso Dati who arrived in procession at the finish line on via P. Savi in Marciana, the Padovani Polo, the Gallina Lucchini Ecotek and the Technipes InEmiliaRomagna. Eight Tuscan teams are competing starting with Team Hopplà, with Lorenzo Magli who has already won three times this season. The course with its four passages over the Castel di Nocco climb and the day that promises to be scorching hot are set to make the race highly selective.
THE ROUTE: The presentation of the 23 registered teams for a total of 156 riders will take place at Giovanni Calzature in Cascina from where the official start will be given at 1:30 PM. Four laps are scheduled that differ slightly in distance but all feature the Castel di Nocco climb, also known as the Termine di Buti. The first lap is 33 km, the second and third are 44 km, and finally the fourth and last is 38 kilometers, while the total distance to cover is just over 150 kilometers. Finally, we remind you that the Giro delle Due Province will be broadcast live on TV Canale 50 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM
