Alessandro Cattani finally breaks through in individual time trials. The 21-year-old from Cislago in the Varese province, riding for Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone, has claimed the Bike Service Trophy at San Lorenzo di Lugo (RA), an individual time trial over a distance of 17 kilometers. Cattani stopped the clock at 20'42", a performance that earned him victory with a narrow but significant margin over his main category rivals: Alunni (MG Kvis Costruzioni e Ambiente), second at 4"; Gamba (General Store Essegibi F.lli Curia), third at 6".
Another success this week for Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone. Alessandro Cattani, aboard the fantastic Pinarello Bolide time trial bike, won the Bike Service Trophy on Saturday, June 6th, an individual time trial of 17 kilometers at San Lorenzo di Lugo (RA). The 21-year-old from Cislago, stopped the clock at 20'42", imposing himself with a clear margin over his main rivals: Alunni (MG Kvis Costruzioni e Ambiente) second at 4", Gamba (General Store Essegibi F.lli Curia) third at 6". For Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone it is the sixth seasonal victory, achieved with five different riders in 2026: Pizzi, Bambagioni (twice), Menghini, Paltrinieri and now Cattani.
The time trial confirmed the team's strength in this technical and individual specialty. Beyond Cattani in first place, Emanuele Ansaloni finished fourth at 8" and Leonardo Meccia in seventh place at 48": three team riders in the top ten, a collective performance of great significance in a specialty that is by nature individual.
For Cattani, this is a victory that further enriches an already extraordinary season. Third at the Trofeo Città di San Vendemiano, second at the Trofeo San Giovanni Valdarno, eighth overall and first Italian at the Ronde de l'Isard, called up to the National team for the Tour of the Alps: the Varese rider is proving to be one of the most complete and competitive U23 riders on the Italian and international scene, capable of performing at a high level both in road races and in time trials.
The calendar doesn't stop. On Sunday, June 7th, the team will line up for the prestigious 54th Coppa della Pace - 51st Trofeo Anelli at Sant'Ermete (RN), with Riccardo Archetti, Tommaso Bambagioni, Alessandro Cattani, Marco Martini, Nicolò Pizzi and Ivan Toselli. A race of great tradition, a home event in Romagna for the team.
The 2026 season of Team Technipes #inEmiliaRomagna Caffè Borbone continues to deliver important satisfactions. Six victories with five different riders (Pizzi, Bambagioni twice, Menghini, Paltrinieri, Cattani), numerous podiums in the national and international calendar, the double call-up to the National team of Bambagioni and Cattani for the Tour of the Alps, excellent performances in Belgium and at the Ronde de l'Isard up to the two victories achieved in just five days. The team confirms itself as one of the most competitive Continental formations in Italy and beyond.
