The sixth edition of the Tour of Antalya opened with the winning sprint of Aliaksei Shnyrko. Beating Uzbek Sergey Rostovtsev (racing with his national team's colors while awaiting to wear the Bardiani CSF 7 Saber jersey for the first time this year) and Turkish Ramazan Yilmaz at the finish line, the thirty-one-year-old Belarusian, already successful in January at the Bajai Pune Grand Tour, claimed the Kadriye-Antalya stage (the opening 145.1-kilometer fraction), securing the seventh victory of 2026 for his Li Ning Star team.
Just off the podium, Lorenzo Cataldo (who flew to Asia this season with the China Chermin Cycling Team) concluded today's race with his third fifth-place finish in the last three weeks, having previously achieved the same result at both the Grand Prix Apollon Temple and the Grand Prix Alaiye, both 2.2 category races that took place earlier in Turkish territory.
For the winner of the Oscar Tuttobici 2025 as best Elite athlete (an award earned thanks to seven victories achieved between Italy, Europe, and China wearing the colors of Gragnano Sporting Club), this start to the season is proving to be quite convincing, and it is certainly not to be ruled out that, in light of what he has shown in these recent racing days, between tomorrow and the weekend an even more significant result could arrive.
