After two years with the Polti Visit Malta team, Davide De Cassan starts again with the General Store Essegibi F.lli Curia team and continues his cycling adventure with a team from his own territory.

The twenty-three-year-old from Verona, after a past with the Friuli cycling team, turned professional in 2024 with Polti Visit Malta and gained experience in Italian races, as well as in Spain, Belgium, and Asia. Despite still lacking a first victory in the top category, he has collected numerous placings and has good growth potential. A few months ago, he discovered he was excluded from Ivan Basso's team roster, but the General Store team extended a helping hand to try and restart together.

The goal for 2026 is to try to find his place in the main Italian races to return to the professional circuit.
