In Tuscany, after the Costa Rican Castro Castro's victory in Cerreto Guidi, another Mexican triumph was achieved by Said Jose Leon De Diaz Cisneos, a junior rider for the A.R. Monex Pro Cycling Team. He imposed himself with a 1'42" advantage over the chasing group in the Coppa Città di Castelfiorentino-Trofeo Sportivi il Bastione-Coppa Sport Angels. With 93 riders at the start, the finale was entirely Mexican, with the unleashed Cisneos flying up the Castelnuovo Elsa climb to claim an undisturbed victory at the finish line on Via Cesare Battisti. Behind him, apart from the winner's skill, there was a lack of coordination to try and catch the breakaway rider. Ferruzzi and Sciarra took the honor places. At the start, 93 riders, of which 40 completed the race on the roads of Valdelsa.
