
Another victory for Petrucci Assali Stefen Makro, the eighth on the road this season, thanks to the solo breakaway by Francesco Tessari in the 35th Vallata Feltrina Tour - DBS Trophy, held today in Cesiomaggiore (Belluno). At the start, 115 competitors and a highly competitive field. The route consisted of a 13.6-kilometer circuit, to be repeated 8 times, for a total of 108.8 km. A challenging circuit with continuous ups and downs and a total elevation of about 1,500 meters.
During the first five laps, there were some attacks, but the peloton remained compact. Then a breakaway of 11 riders formed, which included Francesco Tessari and Matteo Tudurachi. With two laps to go, Francesco Tessari launched a solo attack. The Verona rider made a spectacular solo move in the last 32 kilometers of the race. At the bell lap, the Petrucci Assali Stefen Makro rider had a 40-second advantage. Behind him, his teammate Tudurachi kept the other attackers in check.
Tessari flew to the finish line in Casalmaggiore and raised his arms to the sky 1'07" ahead of his former breakaway companions. Second place went to Marco Andrea Pierotto from Autozai – Contri and third to Thomas Bernardi from Team F.lli Giorgi. Tudurachi had finished fourth, but due to a contact in the sprint, he was relegated to tenth position.
