The Swatt Club is literally flying on the wings of enthusiasm, today conquering its sixth seasonal success on the Indonesian roads of the 10th Tour de Banyuwangi Ijen (a 2.2 category race) thanks to Francesco Carollo.
The twenty-four-year-old from Como, formerly with Mg.K Vis, who finished twelfth in yesterday's opening stage, won the sprint at the Banyuwangi finish line, thanks to the excellent lead-out work by his teammate Kasper Andersen, beating Youcef Reguigui (MadarPro Cycling Team), race leader Jeroen Meijers (Victoria Sports Pro Cycling) and the other group members who contested the victory.
For Swatt Club, after victories at the Torino-Biella with Andersen, the Italian Road Championship with Filippo Conca, the GP Città di Montegranaro with Lorenzo Ginestra, and those at Pessano-Roncola and the Italian Gravel Championship by Mattia Gaffuri, this is the sixth joy of a 2025 that is proving to be decidedly profitable and could continue to bring satisfaction to the team starting from the next two stages scheduled in Indonesia: the Glenmore-Banyuwangi tomorrow and the Maron Genteng-Ijen on Thursday with a mountain finish at the end of a 13-kilometer climb at an average gradient of 9.4%.
