A cardiac arrest has taken Ivan Terenghi away forever. Despite the prompt intervention of doctors and after two days of fighting in intensive care, the Brescia-based technician has left us.
Born in 1966, 59 years old last June 5th, Terenghi lived in Corzano, in the Brescia area, and after an honorable career in the youth ranks of Rossi Santini and with the amateur team Bresciaplast under Olivano Locatelli, he moved to the team car as sports director of the junior team Aspiratori Otelli Alchem CWC from Sarezzo.
It is the Brescia-based team itself that announces the news through a statement:
The Aspiratori Otelli Sports Group, stunned and overwhelmed with pain, announces the premature passing of sports director Ivan Terenghi, who since 2017 has been involved with the Juniors team, contributing to the growth of many riders including Giosuè Epis, Matteo Freddi, Gabriele Raccagni, our current Juniors Francesco Baruzzi, Giona Bonomi, Alessandro Marzocchi and Nicola Triboldi, and the 2025 Juniors Stefano Baccolo, Alessio Bazzani, Roberto Cama, Mattia Ferrari, Giacomo Gheda, Gabriele Ghidini, Cristian Ghiroldi, Stefano Lavo, Mattia Mercantini, Cristian Rezzaghi and Federico Rezzaghi.
A competent technician who always distinguished himself on a human level for his generosity, a quality demonstrated until the end with organ donation according to his wishes.
The Gs Aspiratori Otelli embraces Ivan's family, offering their deepest condolences. Condolences also expressed by all athletes, managers and technicians, including Saverio Resinelli, who shared the leadership of the Juniors team with Ivan.
Rest in peace Ivan, we will never forget you.
We will communicate the details for the funeral as soon as possible.
