The annual appointment with Serbia for the Gallina Lucchini Ecotek Colosio team is renewed. From today until Saturday, April 26th, the elite and under-23 team will be competing in the Beograd-Banjaluka over four stages. The squad selected by Turchetti and Benatti includes Magli, Belleri, Guerra, Calzaferri, Pellegrini, Bonini, and Cocca.
The Serbian race of class 2.2, with an overall route of 552 kilometers, will start from Belgrade with the first stage of just 86 km, ending in Požarevac. A finish that lends itself to fast wheels, where Cocca and Magli will likely have good chances. The continuation of the Tour will be much more challenging, especially on the second day, which is the longest at 176 kilometers. The grand finale will be in Banjaluka (starting from Doboj) after 126 kilometers. The Serbian expedition includes, besides manager Cesare Turchetti, mechanic Luca Di Trani, and masseurs Vincenzo Chiodi and Alfredo Gardi.
The rest of the team will be competing in Pessina Cremonese for the 74th edition of the Coppa Ardigò scheduled for Friday, April 25th. At the start will be Gavazzi, Oliosi, Bregoli, Bonometti, Franzoni, De Marchi, Simeoni, and the Ukrainian Sydor.
