PARTNER YOUR TEAM WITH MAPEI SPORT CENTER TO ACCESS THE EMERGENCY INTERVENTION SERVICE

In view of the holidays, the Mapei Sport Research Center has prepared a great gift for athletes: a new medical service to manage acute injuries and conditions in very short time. It is a sort of sports medicine "emergency intervention" for trauma assistance for competitive athletes who, following an injury during their sporting activity, need almost instant consultation to investigate the extent of the injury, diagnose its type and, if necessary, set up an appropriate return-to-sport path. "In our experience, we have realized that among amateurs, injuries often occur on weekends, particularly on Sundays, when most matches and competitions take place. So we thought of offering clubs a free agreement that allows their members, when needed, to turn to us and be assisted as early as Monday," explains Dr. Claudio Pecci, CEO and medical director of the Mapei Sport Research Center in Olgiate Olona (Varese). How does it work? By contacting the Mapei Sport medical secretariat at 0331-575757 on Monday morning from 09:30 to 12:30 to book an appointment for the same afternoon or, alternatively, from Tuesday to Friday from 09:30 to 12:30 and from 14:30 to 17:30 to book for the following Monday afternoon. The visit will be conducted by Dr. Andrea Bulgheroni, a sports medicine specialist and expert in managing musculoskeletal injuries, who will possibly perform a muscle ultrasound - for internal use - in order to define the nature of the trauma and prognosis. If necessary, additional tests will be carried out and a re-athleticization and return-to-sport path will be set up. All this at a contained and convenient price, thanks to the discounted rate reserved for clubs that have signed the specific agreement. To summarize, the advantages of joining (at zero cost!) the service for teams are: quick access to a visit with a highly qualified specialist to get a more accurate diagnosis and a more effective return to sports activity path; support for health figures already present in the club; possibility to access the service at a discounted and reserved rate.
