Finn Fisher-Black has secured victory in the New Zealand national time trial which took place during the Italian night. The Red Bull - BORA – hansgrohe rider, already victorious last year, confirmed his title by completing the 44-kilometer course in 52'24". Glenn Haden, born in 1983 and registered with a local Couplands Cycling club, finished in second place with a 1'11" deficit from the winner. Bronze medal went to 29-year-old Ben Oliver, registered with Modern Adventure Pro Cycling, who finished with a 2'02" gap.
Among women, Ella Wyllie emerged victorious. The 23-year-old in Liv AlUla Jayco jersey completed the 27-kilometer course in 37'45", beating Mikayla Harvey from Team SD Worx – Protime by 29". Bryony Botha from Te Awamutu Sports Cycling Club took the third step of the podium, finishing 1'01" behind the winner. In the U23 men's category, 19-year-old Reef Roberts (Groupama-FDJ United Continental) won, while in the U23 women's category, Kirsty Watts (Meridian Bikebug Continental) claimed victory.
