The Sardinia Tour 2026 was unveiled this morning. The stage race, which returns to the cycling calendar after fifteen years, will take place from February 25 to March 1.

Not just a cycling event but also a cultural one that will showcase the beauty of the Sardinian territory to the entire world: this is the message that the event wants to convey, which was repeatedly emphasized by the regional president Todde, the president of the Professional Cycling League Roberto Pella, and all the authorities present at the vernissage. The inaugural stage will take the group from Castelsardo to Bossa, and in Olbia, after five stages and over 800 kilometers, the race winner will be crowned.

Roberto Pella, president of the Professional Cycling League, proudly emphasized that many teams have requested to participate in the Sardinia Tour. Among the teams announced by Honorable Pella are UAE Team Emirates, XDS Astana, Soudal Quick Step, Team Tudor, Italian Professional teams, and Italian Continental category teams.

In addition to the authorities present, four champion ambassadors of the race were also included: Fabio Aru, Claudio Chiappucci, Gianni Bugno, and Francesco Moser (connected via video conference)
