Jackson Medway, a 21-year-old rider with Tudor's development squad, has been crowned Australian road champion in the U23 category, crossing the finish line solo in Perth, after 135 kilometers of racing.
The winner, from Medway, distanced Noah Blannin (Ccache X Bodywrap) by 53" and Dylan Proctor-Parker (RCA Bikes) completed the podium. Over 2 minutes back, Jack Ward (Lidl Trek Future Racing) and the new national time trial champion William Holmes (Hagens Berman Jayco) finished in fourth and fifth position. Benjamin Coates from the Manly Warringah team won the Junior men's race, while in the women's category, the Australian Junior title went to Neve Parslow: the 17-year-old from Team Ara Capital repeated her victory after winning the time trial event.
Now the attention shifts to the elite categories: women will race starting from 4:00 Italian time, competing over 109 kilometers, while men will start at 7:50 Italian time and will cover 176 kilometers.
