| 19/02/2008 | 00:00 Freccia argentina sulle strade della California: Juan Josè Haedo (nella foto Cyclingnews), portacolori della CSC, ha vinto allo sprint la prima tappa in linea della corsa americana, la Sausalito - Santa Rosa di 156 km, precedendo i tedeschi Ciolek e Haussler con Tosatto quinto e Bettini dodicesimo. Mario Cipollini è giunto nel seonco gruppo, con cinque minuti di ritardo. In classifica generale resta al comando lo svizzero Fabian Cancellara.
