A Breton team was on the start line of the Tour de Bretagne, and it was that same team that claimed victory on the final stage, the 148.8 km Plélan-le-Petit – Dinan. Capping off a breakaway of around 125 kilometers, in which he was originally joined by two other riders, 21-year-old Breton Pierre Choblet (Pays de Loudéac) took his first career win in front of his home crowd, holding off the chasing counter-attackers —among whom was overall leader Aubin Sparfel (Decathlon Development) — on the undulating finishing circuit.

A fully French celebration, therefore, with a local rider raising his arms in triumph and cyclo-cross specialist Sparfel definitively securing overall victory with second place on the stage. Just behind the French flags came the Italian one of Federico Savino (Soudal Devo) who, by finishing 3rd today on Sparfel’s wheel, moved up to 2nd in the GC. It's also worth noting that 2 of the 7 stages (the first and the third) were won, for Red Bull Rookies, by Alessio Magagnotti.
